A list of activities throughout 2005 were summed up by Doreen Morgan reading the secretary's report at the annual meeting.
There was more to come, said the chairman, Mavis Matthews, announcing a skittles match at Hereford Bowling Club, on Saturday, between Whitecross and Tupsley Guilds; a spring lunch at Burghill Valley Golf Course, on Thursday, March 16, followed by a federation quiz in the Burbage Hall, Ledbury, on Saturday, March 18, with all five Guilds taking part, and a visit to Wyevale Garden Centre on March 21. With a full complement of officers and committee elected, the presence of tellers was not required.
A sub-committee meeting is due to be held tonight (Thursday) to allocate the various jobs.
Margaret Summerfield reported that the federation annual meeting was arranged for May 15, in Pump Street Methodist Church, Worcester, and would be open to all members.
The raffle was won by Mary Halls and the competition by Joan Edwards with Marie Hill second.
The silver cup for the winner of the most points over the year was Margaret Summerfield.
Members racked their brains to complete a quiz with a kitchen theme, devised by Doreen Morgan.
This was followed by a much easier bingo session.
The Guild meets on the first Wednesday of the month in Eignbrook Parish Hall, at 7pm, where new members are always welcome.
The next meeting is planned for April 5.
