HEREFORDSHIRE Ramblers have organised an extensive programme of winter walks, including several in the Ledbury and Newent areas. Gorsley will be a venue for a six-mile walk, In search of Michael Palin, because the Monty Python star and television presenter grew up near the village. The walk leader will be Allan Ricketts, author of the book The Palin Assignment, which became the movie American Friends. Palin fans and walkers alike should phone 01989 565077 to join the group.
