Talks over fresh site

DISCUSSIONS over a new site for a day centre for local adults with learning difficulties are underway. Newent mayor Fred Passant told town councillors at a meeting on Monday that the group behind the project, Royal Forest Reference Group, were now in talks with a landowner. The group's original site, the car park behind the library, was widely opposed because of the loss of parking spaces. The new site is believed to be close to the original but has not been publicly identified.   more...
