Plymouth Argyle 0 Pegasus 4

FIFTEEN-year-old Simone Quinn cracked a hat-trick as Pegasus pulled off a shock in the Women's FA Cup first round by defeating a side from two steps further up the pyramid.

Pegasus showed that an upset was on the cards against their opponents from the South West Combination League when they opened the scoring on 20 minutes.

Lucy Blandford's through-ball found Etty Greenhouse who beat two defenders before crossing for another 15-year-old, Chelsey Snead, to slot the ball home.

Argyle tried hard to hit back before the interval but Pegasus came out revived after the break and extended their lead when Karen Hackley and Nina Powell combined well to set up Quinn who fired home from the edge of the penalty area.

After this, the visitors went from strength to strength and Greenhouse's 65th minute run was ended by a foul in the penalty area, allowing Quinn to score her second from the spot.

The city completed a memorable win when a Lucy Belcher corner was flicked on to Quinn who completed her treble.

Pegasus will now entertain Penzance Ladies in the second round at Old School Lane on November 13.
