Pre-fabs to go

A PLAN to replace two pre-fab bungalows in Colwall with two houses looks set to be given the go-ahead by Hereford-shire Council's northern area planning sub-committee on Wednesday. Officers are recommending approval of the plan for Station Bungalows. The Council for the Protection of Rural England says the houses would be intrusive in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is calling for them to be single storey.   more...

Work is eyed

CATS eyes in Jubilee Drive, Colwall, will be upgraded in the new year, Colwall Parish Council heard last week. Herefordshire Council has also agreed to upgrade and repair pavements in the village. At the meeting, parish council chairman Nicky Carless said high pavements in Martins Orchard were difficult for disabled people to negotiate.
