Delights for dark nights

Worcester's new arts venue, Huntingdon Arts, launched its autumn programme recently, guaranteed to fill dark, dreary nights.

Highlights include Tennessee Williams' Cat On A Hot Tin Roof (October 8-11) at the Swan Theatre.

The legendary Steven Berkoff presents Shakespeare's Villains - A Masterclass in Evil on November 19. Exploring Shakespeare's most villainous characters, he gives an insight into their evil psyche through the words of Shakespeare himself.

Independent Ballet Wales present The Tempest on November 29, promised to be `an adventure beyond your imagination'.

The new live music season at Huntingdon Hall features international jazz supremo Cutis Stigers (October 7), Eliza Carthy (October 8), and ex-Genesis composer and guitarist Steve Hackett (October 9).

For those who missed it at Hereford, Sing-a-long-a Sound of Music visits The Swan on November 28. Fans of the much-loved family film will not want to miss the opportunity to dress up and join in with those classic songs. For a brochure call 01905 611427.
