East Radnor Ramblers line up two walks

THE East Radnor group of the Ramblers' Association, based in Knighton and Presteigne, has two walks lined up for October.

On Saturday, a moderate, seven-mile walk taking in Cwm Jenkin, Fountainhead and part of the Owain Glyndwr's Way will start from the driveway of Racecourse Farm, near Knighton. Details from Joyce on (01547) 528640.

And on October 18 Shirley and Emlyn will lead a moderate, eight-mile walk in Radnor Forest, meeting in Broad Street, New Radnor. Details on (01547) 560145.

Both walks start at 10am.

Meanwhile, the group's popular alternative programme of Saturday walks under five miles, intended to encourage new walkers, continues with walks from Presteigne recycling centre car park on October 11 and from Knighton livestock market car park on October 25, both at 10.30am.
