HEAVENLY voices will fill the air as two county concerts become part of a world-wide simultaneous singing sensation to raise funds for hospices on Saturday.
The Gathering Wave will perform at Hereford Leisure Centre with a major new choral piece and songs from all over the world. The group will entertain audiences a song especially composed for The Gathering Wave entitled Hold The Line by Malvern-based composer, Richard Chew.
Music from around the world will also ring out from the leisure centre including music from Africa, Croatia, Madagascar, the USA, England and France.
Meanwhile, in Kington, the town's choral society will simultaneously perform their own rendition of Mendelssohn's Elijah at St Mary's Church.
The concert will feature sopranos, Elizabeth Allen and her daughter, Sophie, with Sheila Donaldson, Michael Clee and Christopher Mackay as well as Hereford organist, Peter Dyke.
More than 40 countries will take part with concerts that are all to start at 7.30pm (local time) forming an instrumental `Mexican wave' to support hospices and palliative care world wide.
