NEIGHBOURS celebrated golden and silver wedding celebrations on the same day at Stretton Sugwas.
Dennis and Rosalind Bradford, married for 50 years, celebrated with their daughter, Caroline, and her husband, Colin Hubbard, married for 25 years, who live next door.
The day was the icing on the cake' in a good summer for the two couples who are said to boast two of the finest gardens for many miles.
They are both tenants of the Marches Housing Association and both won recognition in the recent association gardening competition, which drew entries from across Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Shropshire.
Dennis and Rosalind have been happily married for half a century. Dennis said the secret of their happy marriage has been give and take. ``You have to solve your problems together and that's what we've done," said Dennis, a former soccer referee for local Herefordshire leagues.
