Learning to make life-saving decisions

From the archive, first published Thursday 2nd Oct 2003.

HARD-HITTING accident scenes scary enough to chill any spine were presented to primary school children as part of the Crucial Crew extravaganza.

Scenarios involving an accident between a cyclist and a motorist and other life threatening situations were staged by police officers to show children what to do in an emergency.

Youngsters from primary schools across the county were presented with the scene in Bosbury before they were advised and encouraged by experts to make life-saving decisions.

Bosbury residents `hand over the village' for five days to demonstrate to children issues such as drug abuse, farm, gas, and home safety and what to do in the event of a fire.
