A NEW bridge is to be designed to replace the structurally corroded bridge over the old railway line at Station Road in Bromyard.
From August 27 traffic will be restricted to a single lane over the Station Road Bridge, built in 1985 to take traffic over the Worcester to Leominster railway, while new designs are prepared and tendered.
Construction work is planned to start about January 2003, when the bridge will be completely closed to traffic for six weeks and the flow of traffic beneath restricted.
