MADAM, The people of Hay-on-Wye are obliged to put up with the terrifying roar of low-flying jet aircraft almost daily. Protests to the Air Ministry in London are noted - and ignored.
A young mother told me her two-year-old ran in screaming in a traumatised state caused by an exceptionally low -flying jet directly overhead.
It is easy to imagine the terror which will be experienced by the men, women and children of Iraq if British jets join in an American attack.
In Hay we don't get the high explosive rockets and bombs reigning down on us. The people of Iraq will!
