LEDBURY Primary School achieved a hat-trick of successes after judges chose its pupils to be the town's new Carnival Princess and her two attendants.
The three were chosen by a panel which included the former mayor and mayoress of Ledbury, town councillor Clive Jupp and Mrs Jill Jupp, at the Ledbury Primary School Fayre last Friday.
The new Princess is Amy Hilling, aged 11, and her attendants are schoolfriends Isabel Ruddick, also 11, and Charlotte Pound, aged nine.
Ledbury Carnival committee chairman Steve Clegg said: "This is the beginning of our very colourful Ledbury in Bloom Carnival countdown!"
Not only will the Ledbury Primary School trio be the centre of attention and wave from a float on the day of Ledbury Carnival (August 27), they will also be invited to lend their support to Ledbury's Britain in Bloom Campaign.
Tom Deane, Ledbury in Bloom chairman, said: "We shall invite the Carnival Princess and her attendants to be present on Judging Day (Friday, July 27)."
This year, Ledbury in Bloom and Ledbury Carnival are working together in support of each other, under the banner of "Flower Power".
