AN Open Day to promote the Welton Stallions in conjunction with Hartpury College will be held next Saturday (March 3) from 10.30am-4pm.
This is the first time in five years that the Welton Stud has been made open to the general public. The Welton Eventing Stud merged with Hartpury College on January 1, 2000 under the personal supervision of Linda and Sam Barr.
The Open Day will not only give clients the opportunity to see the established stallions Crackerjack and Ambassador but also the other exciting prospective stallions for the future Chardonnay, Adonis and Double Cracker plus an exhibition of performance family bloodlines.
Doors open at 10.30am with the Welton Stallion Performance starting at 11.30am. Top riders will be on show including World Champion Blyth Tait with his Lexington winner Welton Envoy.
Admission to the stallion performance is £5 per person in advance, or £7 on the day. Under 16s go free and there are concessions for Students with NUS cards. All profits from the Open Day will go towards the Riding for the Disabled Association.
